Honesty to Yourself.

Hey Team!

Here's a video Chester would like to share with you guys. I've seen it and I must say there are soooo many lessons to take from there - some of which we've covered on Monday night. Now, I know some of you may not be entirely comfortable with the idea of gayism, but I urge you to look past that and see the lessons in this video. Enjoy!

This video features legendary talk show host/American Idol's newest judge Ellen DeGeneres on the Oprah Winfrey show as she speaks of her life coming out as a gay person and ultimately her marriage to her partner of 4 years Portia DeRossi. I've attached some lessons I feel are important at the bottom of the video. Feel free to leave your comments on the tag board as well! :)

Lessons to take away from this video

· 2:16 – “I did it for me to live in my truth”

è Be proud of who you are, no matter what other people think of you!

· 3:00 – “Not just who you are when everything’s great but ... Who are you when everything is taken away from you, when you have nothing?”

è In the most basic level of being... WHO ARE YOU?

· 3:30 – “See the big picture and not getting stuck in ego.”

è There is an energy and a spirit and a soul that we cannot fathom that we all need to be connected to and not be stuck in your own little world.

è Follow your life’s journey, your life’s purpose.

· 5:25 – “It’s not about everybody approving of what I say/think, it’s about if I believe in it and if I’m being honest...”

è You can’t make everybody like you

è Choose the expectations that you want to live up to.
